Hello Year 5!
We hope that you and your family are staying safe and enjoying spending some time together. We know that this is a little bit of a worrying time for you all (including us grown ups!), but it is also a brilliant time to spend some quality time with your family, start a hobby or learn something new. Make sure that you are still completing some work at home, we are uploading lots of things to the website to keep you busy; remember what we said about keeping those brains ticking over!
Whilst we want you to keep your mind active with some school work, it is also SO important to develop other skills too. Miss Vaux has been learning to cook some new dishes (including chicken and mushroom lasagne and toad in the hole!) and doing some gardening in this lovely sunshine we've been having. Miss Poynter has been spending lots of time reading new books and practising her art skills by doing a very complicated painting by numbers!
You will never forget this time and you will probably never have an Easter holiday like this again, so you could start writing a diary each day to remind you of what you have done. We're sure it's something you might show your children or even your grandchildren when you are older!
We miss you all very much and we really can't wait to see you again soon to hear what you have been up to.
Stay safe at home, look after your family and keep smiling. We will get through this together!
