This week in maths we would like you to practise your addition and subtraction skills. 

Watch the videos below to remind yourself about tens and ones and then work your way through the activities.

Now that you have watched the videos, have a go at answering these questions.

If your child is finding these number sentences too challenging, don't worry as they might not have done addition and subtraction for a while. Instead, have a look at the structured maths section at the top for more simple number sentences. 

Thursday - Can you use the chips and beans method from the first video to answer these addition number sentences? 
Friday - Can you use either the chips and beans method or the splitting method to answer these addition number sentences?
Monday - Can you answer these tricky Maths Mastery problems about addition?
Tuesday - Can you complete these subtraction number sentences using the splitting method?
Wednesday - Can you complete these subtraction number sentences using the splitting method?

Thursday (11th Feb) - Can you solve these subtraction Maths Mastery problems?

 

Friday (12th Feb) - Hit The Button

Have a go on the addition and subtraction (number bonds) section on hit the button. This will help you to become quicker at adding and taking away.
