New Starters September 2020

Revised start for New Starters September 2020 - Edited - July 17th 2020

 

Week beginning 31st August –  
Phone calls (instead of home visits) with families. We will arrange Zoom calls wherever possible.  


Week beginning 7th September -  

 

Group A – in school 9.30am – 11.30am (On Monday 7th September parents are welcome to stay between 9.30am-10.30am to help settle children in. Unfortunately, we are now unable to have parents enter the school building due to social distancing so we plan to a have a drink and a snack on the school field weather permitting.)  


Group B – in school 1.00pm – 3.00pm (On Monday 7th September parents are welcome to stay between 1.00pm – 2.00pm to help settle children in. Unfortunately, we are now unable to have parents enter the school building due to social distancing so we plan to a have a drink and a snack on the school field weather permitting.) 

 

 

All children in full time on Monday 21st September 

We are delighted you have chosen St Richard’s as the school for your child and the staffing team are all excited about September 2020 and meeting you all. We are writing to you with details of our planned induction to school and where you will be able to find documents relating to your child starting school.

All documents can be found below;

  • Video tour of St Richard’s
  • Parents information booklet
  • Transition booklet for children containing photos of staff and key areas in the classrooms
  • All about Me – Transition booklet for parents to complete for school
  • Suggested activities for preparing for school
  • A file of documents containing forms and information for registering your child at St Richard’s

 

We are planning and preparing for a September start for your children and the parents information booklet details our induction and dates for starting school. We will be writing to you individually with details of the groups in the coming weeks. Due to the current social distancing guidelines we may need to alter and tweak our plans as and when further information is published.
