RE

Spring term 2

For the next few weeks please watch the open the book videos. If you have any questions (like we did for wondering Wednesday) you could discuss them with someone in your family, or write them down and hopefully we can discuss them soon when we return together.

For each open the book you could choose one of the following activities:

  • Make a storyboard for the story
  • Write a prayer
  • Write some questions we could discuss in class
  • Write a letter to someone in the story
  • Think about the moral of the story and raw a picture or write something to reflect this.
  • Do some random acts of kindness for people living nearby

Wow, there are only 2 weeks left until half term and until the end of our RE topic of Hinduism. Lots of you have enjoyed this topic and we have been sent some fantastic work about the Hindu Gods and Goddesses.

To finish our Hindu topic, there are 2 tasks relating to the stories of creation. You can do the tasks in whichever order you choose over the next 2 weeks.

We look forward to seeing your work.

Miss Wiseman and Mrs Eksteen.

Murtis are statues or images of Hindu Gods or Goddesses. Although Hindus believe that God is in all things, Murtis are often used as part of their worship to depict what each God or Goddess stands for or symbolizes.

Watch the video to see Vraj explain what happens at the Mandir.

Then follow the instructions on the Hindu Murti pdf to look more closely at the symbols used in murtis.

week commencing 18/1/2021

This term we are looking at Hinduism. We have already covered some of this in Autumn 1 and this term we will be delving deeper into this religion.

Look at the information on Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Choose 3 of your favourite and have a go at drawing them.

Research, either from the information or on the internet, some fact about the Gods you have chosen and create a fact file. You can decide how you would like to present your information. You could just write them down, you could make a poster or you could even make a video!
