Week 1 - 2

Our topic this term is ‘Is There Anybody Out There?’ where we will be learning all about our Solar System. As well as this, we are going to have a look at our planet and learn all about how humans are having an impact on planet Earth.

  • Firstly, we would like you to have a go at ‘The Planets’ lesson which contains three activities that all link together. Split up these activities over the next few weeks, you don’t need to do them all in one go!
  • Once you have finished these, you can also have a go at this BBC Bitesize lesson (click here!) all about the Solar System. You can complete the interactive activities on this page too.
  • The next lesson you can have a go at is this one, which is all about the solar system (click here)! This is a brilliant lesson, where you can watch a video and work through some tasks as you go.
  • Finally, we would like you to learn all about the universe and what it is made from (click here)! This is set out in the same way as the previous lesson, a video with some tasks to complete as you go through. Enjoy learning all about the galaxy we live in, including the Big Bang Theory as an explanation for how the universe began!
