Fearsome Forces
Our topic this half term is Fearsome Forces. We will be looking at and finding out about Volcanoes and Earthquakes.
Lesson 1
Before you begin to find out more complete the blue task - What you think you already know.
After you have completed the blue task use the powerpoint and included video links to find out more about the Earth's layers before completing the worksheet.
Lesson 2
Let's now investigate how movement of the Earth's plates can cause earthquakes and create volcanoes. Using the powerpoint, included video links and if available Oreo biscuits find out about the Earth's plates and their movements. Then record your findings on the worksheet.

Before you begin, can you answer any of these questions?
Now look through the information powerpoint to find out more about Egypt.
Then use google earth, online atlas or atlases to locate Egypt on a map.
On your worksheet 'map to complete' first label the Uk and Egypt in the top map.
Next, label Egypt and it’s neighbouring countries on the second map.
Now also label Egypt's capital city - Cairo.
Can you draw on and label the Nile Rive?
Challenge – tell an adult 3 things that you have found out about Egypt.
