At St Richard's we think carefully about the books we read for pleasure in our daily story time. We ensure our pupils have a rich and vaired diet of high quality texts that inspire children to want to read more and broaden their horizons and experiences. As well as these books, children recommend and vote for stories they would like to hear during our class story times.

In Autumn Term, the PTA kindly donated some money to each class which we have used to purchase some new titles for our class book corners. The children themselves researched, recommended and voted for the books they wanted us to spend the money on. Some of these have also been included in our reading spines.
